Welder

Every scissor lift, goods lift and hi-lift that leaves Nandan GSE starts as steel that someone has to join properly. As a Welder in our Production department at Khalapur (Raigad, Maharashtra), your welds carry the loads that aircraft ground support equipment and material handling equipment are built to lift, so the quality of your work decides whether a machine is safe and whether it ships on time. We are hiring 10 welders for full time work on equipment that is mostly engineered to each customer's order, which means real variety instead of the same joint all day.

What you will do

• Weld and fabricate structures, frames and sub-assemblies for scissor lifts, goods lifts, tail lifts, truck-loading lifts and hi-lifts
• Work from drawings and job instructions so that dimensions, joint preparation and weld sizes match what the design calls for
• Set up, tack and complete jobs on fixtures and assemblies, holding alignment so that the next stage of production can fit and assemble without rework
• Prepare edges, clean welds and finish joints to the standard expected on customised material-handling equipment
• Check your own work before it moves on, and support the quality team when welds are inspected
• Work with fitters, assembly and the production team on the shop floor so that order-wise jobs move to plan
• Follow safe working practice on the shop floor, including correct use of protective equipment and handling of consumables
• Keep your work area, tools and equipment in order and report problems early

What you bring

• At least 2 years of experience as a welder or in welding and fabrication work
• Any educational background is acceptable; what matters is proven hands-on welding skill
• Ability to read and work from fabrication drawings and job cards
• A steady eye for fit-up, alignment and weld quality on heavy structural work
• Willingness to work on varied, made-to-order jobs rather than one repeating part
• Awareness of shop floor safety and discipline
• Readiness to work full time at our Khalapur works
